Mavis Addo
Children's Engagement Lead
Mavis Addo brings 29 years of elementary teaching experience to the heart of Comfort Zion Foundation’s orphan outreaches. Her decades in the classroom have given her a profound understanding of children, not just how they learn, but how they heal, connect, and grow, and she channels every bit of that knowledge into her work with the children the Foundation serves.
As the lead for children’s engagement, Mavis is responsible for creating safe, nurturing spaces where orphaned and vulnerable children are met with love, taught the Word of God, and empowered through scripture, games, and intentional emotional and mental exercises. Her approach is both deeply personal and professionally grounded, shaped by a career devoted entirely to the flourishing of children.
Mavis holds a Diploma in Montessori Theory and Methodology as well as a qualification in Early Childhood Education, both certified by the Ghana Education Service. She also completed a three year Teacher Mentorship Development program, equipping her not only to teach but to invest in the growth of those around her.
In everything she brings to Comfort Zion Foundation, Mavis carries one quiet conviction: that every child, no matter their circumstance, is worthy of joy, truth, and the chance to thrive.
